Jekyll and Hyde theatre trip

Published on 14th December 2017

Dear Parent/Carer,

I would like to offer your child the opportunity to attend a school trip to watch a live performance of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde at the Nottingham Theatre Royal.

Date: Wednesday 21st March 2018

Time: 7.00pm – 9.45pm

Cost: £16.00

This gothic novella is a set text on the GCSE English Literature paper and this is a fantastic opportunity to see the story brought to life.

This trip is offered to all Year 11 students studying English Literature but we have a limited number of 100 tickets available which will be distributed on a first come, first served basis.

Students will not need to wear school uniform as the performance takes place in the evening.   All of the usual expectations of exemplary behaviour apply and we ask that students arrive promptly at 7.00pm, ready for the production to begin at 7.30pm. As with all theatre performances, there will be a short interval during which students may purchase refreshments in the theatre but they will not be allowed to leave the theatre building.

Students will need to be collected from the foyer at the front of the building at the end of the performance.

Please note that reply slips must be returned to your child’s English teacher and payments must be made via ParentPay by Wednesday 31st January 2018.

Yours sincerely,

Mrs P. Padley

English Faculty Leader
