Dear Parents and Carers
I would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a very happy New Year.
Mr Crabtree, having been nominated by his KS4 GCSE students won a fine accolade, namely Inspirational Teacher of the Year in Nottingham. He was understandably delighted and also humbled at the same time.
There were a number of events that occurred in the last few weeks of last term that I believe you would want to be aware of; the Christmas Concert was a huge success. Over 120 children took part and approximately 30 staff either were helping or in attendance as were a large number of governors. The PTA provided refreshments and a raffle that raised in excess of £300. The quality of the performances was impressive and importantly the children enjoyed themselves in a great show of community cohesion. Many children performed at a local residential home. Others visited patients at the QMC who were in hospital over Christmas and took letters of encouragement written by students from all year groups. These examples help to develop students’ character and highlight the commitment of staff in supporting that process.

If the students continue to work hard and conduct themselves as expected I am confident of another positive term ahead.
