I would like to update you regarding how work will be set during the school closure. The majority of work will be set using Google Classroom. All learners have access to an individual classroom for each subject and teachers will be providing work for all year groups. For any students without Internet access, resource packs will be provided. We will endeavour to support students in all year groups to cover the required curriculum during the school closure.
We are awaiting more information from the Department for Education regarding the measures that will replace the GCSE exams this year for year 11 and will update you as soon as we know more. For students in years 7, 8, 9 and 10, it is essential that they continue with their studies at home in preparation for returning to school once we are able to open fully again.
Staff will be providing support and advice through Google Classroom wherever possible. The work covered during the school closure will be reviewed and reflected upon as much as possible given the circumstances.
Click here for a document with more detailed information from subjects regarding the setting of work. We advise you to balance your child’s well-being with a continued focus on learning. I have also included instructions below regarding Google Classroom should you require assistance.
We will continue to keep you updated as any additional information comes into school.
With kind regards,
