MPS - full time (MATERNITY COVER)
From 5th November 2018 we require an enthusiastic and committed teacher of KS3 & KS4 Drama, with the possibility of leadership responsibilities for the right candidate. This post may be of interest to newly qualified teachers or experienced colleagues who wish to join a thriving and successful school.
The drama department at Fernwood is an active and vibrant one. It provides one lesson per week to all KS3 students and offers the OCR GCSE Drama course as a popular KS4 option. Drama plays a key role in Fernwood’s broad and balanced curriculum and staff are encouraged to deliver creative, engaging lessons whilst working closely with the music department on a variety of extra-curricular activities. Recent projects include; a performance of ‘Twelfth Night’ at the Shakespeare Schools’ Festival, the publication of original scripts in association with Nottingham University, a student run film festival supported by the BFI, a drama showcase evening and our regular variety shows and whole school musicals.
