WWYLD – Nepal Fund Raising

Published on 12th May 2015

Dear Parent/Carer,

We are organising a Wear What You Like Day in aid of the recent disaster in Nepal.  The reason for this is as follows:

Fernwood pupils in Year 8 have recently started to build links with Nepal.  A former Fernwood student and her close family have devoted a large part of their time to raising funds to help build and set up a school in Nepal, which was recently severely affected by the earthquake.  As a result Fernwood would like to help.

The Wear What You Like Day will be on Friday 15th May.  Pupils may pay in advance (£1.50) or on the day itself (£2.00) at break time in the Dining Hall.  There is of course no compulsion to take part and any pupil who doesn’t wish to participate will wear full school uniform.

We hope to raise some extra funds to support the school and the community in Nepal.  A number of pupils have also requested to organise some additional activities on top of the Wear What You Like Day to support this cause.

Thank you for your support in this matter.

Yours sincerely
