Dear Parent/Carer
Red Nose Day Friday 19th March ‘Wear Something Red Day’
We are organising a ‘Wear Something Red Day’ event for Comic Relief Day on Friday 19th March. Students are invited to wear non -uniform but should wear an item of red clothing e.g. red top, trousers, dress or skirt, official Red Nose Day t-shirt etc. The normal school rules around jewellery and make-up (no red lipstick/no nail varnish) apply and these should not be worn. Red hair dye is also not allowed. We request that students contribute to the Comic Relief charity by paying £1.50 by Thursday 18th March through the following link: https://app.parentpay.com/ParentPayShop/Foc/Default.aspx?shopid=2459
There is of course no compulsion for students to take part, but any student who doesn’t wish to participate must wear full school uniform.
Due to current restrictions, we are unable to do many of the fundraising activities we would usually do. All of the money we raise this year will therefore come from wearing non-uniform. However, throughout the day we hope to ‘Share a Smile’ with all the students.
In previous years, The Fernwood School have helped to raise lots of money for Comic Relief and we hope that this year will be no different. It would be fantastic if your son/ daughter could get involved and enjoy the day with us.
Thank you in advance for your support.
Yours sincerely,
Mrs Betteridge (Teacher of SEND) & Mrs Young (Teacher of Music)
