Year 11 English Revision Sessions 2018

Dear Parents and Carers,

The English Department is devoted to helping all students reach their full potential and to secure a good bank of marks.  Therefore, a weekly revision session has been scheduled to commence on the 8th January in Room 6.  This session will be on either Monday or Thursday afternoons from 3:15 to 4:15. This is an ideal opportunity for all students to utilise the expertise of the Department’s teachers, asking questions, raising concerns and seeking advice in an attempt to strengthen their subject knowledge.  Our intention is to support students with the consolidation of their classroom learning, further strengthening their understanding of specific areas.

The sessions will complement in-class teaching, exploring key aspects of both the Language and Literature papers.  The specific timetable is attached at the end of this letter.  Additionally, these sessions are designed to cater for the specific needs of the students who attend, enabling these sessions to be personal, educational and stimulating.  Therefore, we would be very grateful if you could read the timetable with your child and encourage them to attend any sessions which would provide them with the opportunity to meet their individual learning needs.
